This day, holiest of holy, will unite dear Griffin and dear Sarah Wylie. At High Noon we will convene in Paris/Bourbon County at the Cane Ridge Meeting House, where events that spurred the Second Great Awakening were held in 1801. After our own revival, we’ll steal down the road to Cynthiana and receive the new bride and groom at the old tobacco Prizing House for real Kentucky dining, gaming, and dancing. Tim Jennins, who played at SWA’s parent’s wedding 35 years ago will play old jazz tunes and then Miss Cheyenne Mize will play Bluegrass porch music as we remember times that haven’t yet passed...

Attire is semi-formal to formal, and if there’s something you’ve always wanted to wear but couldn’t find the time or place to wear it, your favorite fit is welcome and encouraged here. Hats (which will need to be tossed aside for dancing) and gloves (which will need to be removed for fried-pie-eating) will be aesthetically (but not necessarily socially) applauded.
