We have planned a good number of fun things to show off our fair city and region and to give you an opportunity to meet and mingle with the special folks we’ve brought together. If you’re in town or feel like coming early, come play with us!
THURSDAY Go to Keeneland Race Track by day for your equine, gambling, people-watching, Bourbon, and Burgoo fixes. By night let’s go see Where The Wild Things Are (maybe you’ll wait to watch it with us, or maybe this will be your third viewing), and after, we can treck off to Screampark or to the third most haunted place in Kentucky, The Rohs Opera House in Cynthiana.
FRIDAY There’s always more Keeneland to be had, antiquing is aplenty (if you go to Paris, you must stop in Varden’s for a lunch treat), and might we suggest skeet shooting? Tonight let’s get our art on with a London-exhibit-via-Lex, at the L.O.T. Gallery in Lexington then eat up at Al’s Bar. At Al’s we’ve lined up a show for our very own, by our very own: SWA’s cousin, Thom Schuyler, Griff’s cousin, Stoll Vaughan, and SWAvm’s friends, Goldenrod.
SATURDAY Brunch is (only) at Stella’s Kentucky Deli. Keeneland called, the horses miss you, go give them your money. And also, a scavenger hunt is in the works. Check back for your first clue...
MONDAY Go Big Blue. The first exhibition game of the season tipsoff at 7 pm. Get tickets, call in sick, it will be worth it.
